Richard A. Reynolds Groundwater Desalination Ribbon Cutting

Filanc is proud to announce the project completion and ribbon cutting for the Richard A. Reynolds Groundwater Desalination Facility Phase II Expansion project.

The ribbon cutting is taking place Thursday June 15, 2017 at 10:00 am at the Richard A. Reynolds Facility. Parking around the facility is limited and free shuttle service to the event will be provided. The shuttle service will begin at 9:30 am and guests are asked to park at Toys R Us, 1100 E 30th Street, National City, CA 91950.

The expansion of the Richard A. Reynolds Groundwater Desalination Facility included additional treatment equipment, new extension walls and new pipeline. The original Reynolds Facility building was sized in anticipation of this expansion. The original facility contained treatment equipment with a capacity to treat 5 million gallons per day (MGD). In order to increase the capacity to the necessary 10 MGD, additional reverse osmosis (RO) equipment was installed within the existing building, and additional iron and manganese treatment equipment was installed adjacent to the existing equipment located next to the building.
